Kanchaniburi was a sweet relief from Bangkok. The city is situated on the bank of the legendary River Kwai, and has the vibe of a surftown. Our digs were right on the river, and I could have spent days there alone. Most people go for the Bridge on the River Kwai, which was a place of loss and suffering during World War II. We paid our respects and continued on to the beautiful surrounding mountains.

This is my new partner in crime Ingo. He's down for just about anything, and is a great friend to travel with. We really clicked when it came to the thought of visiting the mountain waterfall Erawan via motorbike. Not long after discussing, we rented our scooters and were off on the country roads. Cruising was liberating; this was the way to see Thailand, outside the frame of a bus window, with only the wind providing the A/C.
Hanging out at the locals spot in the mountains, enjoying the peace that huge bodies of water often bring. We were the only foreigners here at this colossal Dam, really a Dam special spot.
Erawan Falls, not even Disneyland could top this surreal landscape.
Rock slide zone!
Later the night called for Thai Whiskey and Sheesha with the locals at Buddha Bar.
Puns totally run in your blood lol definitely enjoying reading this.
